The National Website is arranged by the Working Group "Lead-free interconnection technology in electronics" initiated by the Fraunhofer IZM, which attends to the German branch of ELFNET.
The working group supports companies, especially SMEs, in performing the technological shift to lead-free interconnection systems.
Its objectives are
- the presentation of the status quo and trends during the introduction of lead-free interconnection systems (lectures and discussions)
- mutual support throughout the preparation of the change to lead-free solders (cooperation in working groups)
- assistance in the change to lead-free solders
Set up in 1999, the working group "Lead-free interconnection technology in electronics" consists of representatives from over 60 industrial enterprises, as well as the associations ZVEI and FED (in German).
