Karl Heinz Zuber works in BeCAP Berlin Center of Advanced Packaging which is a Joint Institute of Technische Universitaet Berlin and Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM.
He is a member of the group 'Analytics and Ecological Assessment' in the Dep. Environmental Engineering.
He obtained a diploma in environmental technology at the Technical University of Berlin mainly in the fields of waste management (Prof. Fleischer) and wastewater treatment (Prof. Wiesmann), special Interest in biological treatment.
Since 1997 he has been engaged in studies of environmental assessment of electronic products at the Fraunhofer-IZM. Work in the field of cyanide free galvanizing and lead free soldering as well as assisting with organisation of the IZM 'Industrial Working Group Lead Free Interconnection Systems in Electronics' and in lead-free consulting activities for the Industry.
From 1998 he has also worked as freelancing consulting engineer.
In 2000 participation and realization of the 'EGG Electronics Goes Green 2000+' conference, Berlin. In 2002 participation in a study of Technical University of Berlin on ecology and economy of the reuse of personal computers. |
