Prof. Dr. Herbert Ipser began his career in 1974 as a Teaching Assistant at Univ. of Vienna. Between 1974 and 1976 he visited University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (USA) as a Post Doctoral Fellow.
Since then he has been Assistant, Associate and Full Professor at Univ. of Vienna.
He is a specialist in thermochemistry and phase diagrams of inorganic materials; statistical-thermodynamic description of nonstoichiometric intermetallics; various chemical and physical properties of intermetallics; ordering phenomena in liquid alloys; lead-free solder materials (phase equilibria, thermochemical properties, various physical properties; currently Ag-In-Sn, Ag-In-Pd, In-Pd-Sn) |
