| Bart Vandevelde received his Masters degree in mechanical engineering from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in June 1994. In March 2002, he received a PhD degree at IMEC in the field of thermo-mechanical modelling for electronic systems. Currently, he is responsible for the thermal and thermo-mechanical modelling and characterisation activities at IMEC. His work deals with thermal and thermo-mechanical modelling, characterisation and optimisation of advanced IC package systems such as flip chip assemblies, several ball grid array and chip size packages and the polymer stud grid array. He is also a member of the organisation committee for the Eurosime conference. |
