Jeremy graduated from Brunel University and has a PhD in the field of tin-based fire retardants. He is a Chartered Chemist and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. He joined the International Tin Research Institute, now ITRI/Tin Technology, as a Graduate Chemist in 1988, becoming New Projects Manager in 1998, coordinating innovation and initiating new research and business activities. He is now responsible for the Technology Information & Forecasting department - a major support service for the organisation's R&D strategy. As well as initiation, funding and management of new research projects, the work of the team includes sourcing, management and delivery of tin technology information via new Internet websites.
He launched Soldertec as the world's first lead-free soldering technology centre in 1999 and now coordinates ELFNET - the European Lead-Free Soldering Network. |
