IMMG S.A. was established in June 1988 for advanced R&D in the field of Mechanics. The activities of the company focus on the provision of services in mechanical testing of materials and structures and on the design, development and manufacture of high - precision mechanical parts, devices and machines for industrial or laboratory applications.

Facilities include a prototype shear testing machine with deformation control - in which microstructure is continuously observed using a long distance observation, robotic microscope.
IMMG has studied the microstructural changes, failure mechanisms and fatigue life of solder joints. The influence of composition, shear deformation, rate of deformation and temperature can be determined.
