Inasmet is a private, non-profit making technology center, founded in 1962, with the purpose of serving the industrial community through technology transfer. The Foundation centers its activities on Materials Technology, Industrial Processes and the Environment.
The organisation is a non-profit making Technological Research Centre specialising in materials and transforming processes.
Materials specialists provide customised solutions to industry. It has an extensive network of national & international collaborations.
Facilities inlude: climatic chambers, Metallographic facilities, microscopic facilities SEM, ESCA & AUGER, mechanical laboratories and NDT facilities.
INASMET has carried out lead-free soldering work through industry projects, with different sectors: automotive, aeronautics. It has particualrly studied ageing in thermal conditions of some solders and the evolution of the cracks growing rate in ageing conditions.
