Based at Tin Technology, the world centre of excellence for tin-based research and development, Soldertec is able to draw on more than 70 years of experience the field of soldering technology, including detailed work on lead-free alloys.
This includes extensive collaborative research in alloy selection for replacement of tin-lead solder.
More recently work has focussed on highlighting and resolving implementation issues, including work on the Soldertec European Lead-Free Soldering Roadmaps of 2002 and 2003. Soldertec works extensively with partners and stakeholders in the US and Japan, to coordinate global strategy on implementation of lead-free soldering technology.
It now offers a full range of technical services, information products and consultancy, principally through a membership scheme.
